A 22-year-old man, identified only as Kwame, has been remanded by a court in Koforidua for allegedly robbing and raping a 25-year-old nurse undertaking her National Service.
The victim, who had rented a room in the accused person's family house a few months ago, was reportedly deceived by the accused into believing that someone was looking for her in front of the Yiadom Hwedie Palace of the New Juabenmanhene.
While she was away, Kwame quickly changed his clothes, put on a mask, and sneaked into her bedroom.
Upon her return, the accused pulled a knife on her and demanded all her money.
