President of policy think tank Imani Africa, Franklin Cudjoe, has urged the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to withdraw from the Akwatia by-election.
His call came on the back of the decision of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to stay away from contesting for the Tamale Central seat after their Member of Parliament died in the helicopter crash on August 6.
To him, if the NPP has been nationalistic and has decided not to contest because the Member of Parliament lost his life, the NDC must reciprocate the gesture.
