The Rastafari Council of Ghana has extended its deepest and heartfelt condolences to President John Dramani Mahama, the families of the departed and all Ghanaians in this time of national tragedy.
A statement signed by Ahuma Bosco Ocansey, President of the Council and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said the loss of the eight precious souls, including two distinguished ministers of state was a national tragedy that weighed heavily on their hearts.
The statement said: "We recognise the pain and grief this has brought to the nation, and we share in the collective mourning of our beloved Ghana." It implored the citizenry to respect the country's traditions and culture and accord some dignity to the bereaved families who were filled with grief. "Till Shiloh, may the souls of our beloveds rest well as we add our voices to the calls to ensure the needed investigations are conducted to avert any recurrence in the future," it noted.
The statement prayed for God to grant strength, comfort, and peace to the bereaved families and all citizens deeply touched by this loss.
