The Adanse Adjiri Moomli-Brofo Ashiyie Royal Family has formally announced the selection of a new Paramount Chief for the historic Jamestown Ngleshie Alata Stool.
In a statement released by the royal family, Seth Nii Kofi Hammond, now known by his stool name, Nii Kofi Okpleng I, has been chosen to ascend to the chieftaincy.
He is the son of the late Emma Naa Ameley Tagoe and hails from the Adanse Royal lineage.
The announcement was made during a press conference held at the royal family's residence, where Mephiboseth Nana Agyeman Appiah, spokesperson for the newly selected chief, addressed the media.
