Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frank Amoakohene, has denied allegations that he assured residents of Tontokrom that security forces stationed at the Asanko Mines would be withdrawn.
His response follows the circulation of a viral video in which a youth leader from the community alleged the minister made such a promise during a recent engagement.
Speaking to the media, Dr Amoakohene described the claim as false and misleading, cautioning the public against spreading unverified information that could heighten tensions.
