The has refuted claims of a raid on the residence of the Bono East Regional Chairman of the (NPP), Ibrahim Baba Bukari, stating that reports circulating in the media are false and misleading.
In a statement issued on Saturday, August 2, 2025, the Police clarified that no raid was conducted on the home of the NPP chairman, as alleged.
Rather, officers from the Bono East Regional Command were responding to a robbery incident when the events in question unfolded.
According to preliminary investigations, the police acted on intelligence and responded swiftly to a robbery attempt around 1:20 a.m.
