Former Black Stars striker, Kwesi Appiah, has sealed a move to English lower-tier side Ebbsfleet United FC ahead of the 2025/26 season. The 34-year-old rejoins his boyhood club on a one-year deal after a starring role at Boreham Wood FC last season, where he scored 24 goals to secure promotion to the National League for the Wood.
Appiah is expected to lead the attack of the National League South side in the upcoming campaign as they eye promotion to upper leagues in England. "I cherished starting my career here and it was a really important ingredient in coming back.
I'm extremely proud of that journey because it set me up to be the person I am today and set me on my way," he said after sealing the deal. "Now I'm hoping to achieve a very successful season for the team and the club⦠and it's why I'm driven to score goals and to drive the standards around the club.
It's going to be a really solid group with a good dynamic." Before leaving Ebbsfleet as a teenager in 2009, he made five appearances scoring a goal for the club.
