Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Björkegren says his team must rise to the moment and embrace the challenge of facing host nation Morocco in Tuesday's WAFCON 2024 semi-final.
Ghana reached the last four for the first time since 2016 after edging Algeria in a tense penalty shootout, prevailing 4-2 following a goalless draw after extra time.
The result has set up a high-stakes showdown with Morocco, who topped Group A and will enjoy strong home support at the Stade Olympique de Rabat.
Björkegren admits the occasion presents a significant psychological test, but believes his players can use the pressure to their advantage. "It's going to be a tough awakening for us in front of a lot of people," he said. "I also know from experience it can help you if you have a good day as a host country, but I also know it can be opposite.
