The Minority in has accused the government of purposely delaying the return of the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill which aims to ban LGBTQ+ activities.
They argue that even though the National Democratic Congress (NDC) strongly supported the bill while in opposition during the 8th , the current government hasn't brought it back in the 9th .
According to them, this delay has allowed such activities to be shown publicly.
Speaking on the floor of on Wednesday, June 25, 2026, Minority Leader described the delay as disappointing and intentional. "Our friends in the then opposition used the anti-LGBTQ bill as a major campaign tool.
