Several travelers are receiving treatment at the Nkawkaw Holy Family Hospital and other nearby health centres following a deadly head-on collision on the Accra-Kumasi Highway near Oframase in the Kwahu West Municipality.
The accident, which occurred on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, involved a VIP passenger bus (registration number GR-2399) and a cargo truck carrying flour.
The two vehicles reportedly collided head-on, resulting in multiple fatalities and serious injuries.
Authorities have yet to confirm the exact number of deaths due to the severe damage and burning at the crash site, which left some bodies charred and difficult to identify.
