The Executive Secretary of Ghana Water Limited (GWL), Issifu Seidu Kudus Gbeadese, has refuted claims that the Broto Water Project was fully funded by the Exim Bank of Ghana.
Speaking at a press briefing on Friday, June 13, regarding the non-commissioning of the completed Damongo Alternative Water Supply System (Broto Water Project), Gbeadese clarified that the project was entirely financed by Ghana Water Limited, not the Exim Bank.
He explained that under the leadership of Dr.
Clifford Braimah, GWL initiated the project to abstract and treat water from an artesian well at Broto and transport it through Yipala to an existing high-level tank in Damongo.
