President has commissioned a high-level government delegation, led by Minister of Interior Mohamed-Mubarak Muntaka, to engage with the Yagbonwura, traditional leaders, and other key stakeholders in the Sawla-Bole area as part of efforts to resolve the ongoing Gbeniyiri conflict.

The initiative is part of the president's broader peace-building agenda aimed at restoring calm and stability in the Savannah Region.

The delegation has been tasked with working closely with the Regional Security Council, traditional authorities, and community leaders to foster dialogue, mediate outstanding disputes, and reinforce law and order.

The visit was formally announced in a press statement issued on Sunday, August 31, 2025, by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President and Minister of Government Communications.
