The Chief Executive Officer of the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC), Dr George Smith-Graham, has blamed the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA) for the delay in implementing their conditions of service.
Speaking on Adom FM's Dwaso Nsem on June 12, 2025, Dr Smith-Graham said the leadership of GRNMA failed to engage in negotiations with the Commission before embarking on the industrial action.
According to him, the group had placed a court injunction on the implementation of the conditions of service they had negotiated, hence stalling the progress. "They have not met with me for any negotiations.
They must do it while working, not when they are on strike.
