A senior lecturer at Kumasi Technical University (KsTU), Dr Solomon Forkuo-Kwarteng, has called on the government to provide nurses with better conditions of service, emphasising that patriotism without reward is slavery.

According to Dr Forkuo-Kwarteng, who is also the Head of the Entrepreneurship Village and Incubation Centre at KsTU, asking nurses to work without proper remuneration will affect productivity in the health sector.

Speaking on OTEC 102.9 FM's morning show Nyansapo, on Thursday, June 12, 2025, hosted by Kwaku Owusu Boateng, aka KOA, the entrepreneurship expert stressed that nurses should be fairly rewarded for their hard work and dedication.

He emphasised that the government has no excuse but must ensure nurses are well-motivated to work toward a healthy country.
