The Minority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Kwamina Afenyo-Markin, has advised the Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), Raymond Archer, to be mindful of how he conducts his duties, reminding him that power is transient.

His comment follows a protest he led with Minority Members of Parliament at the EOCO office, demanding the release of the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, who is currently in custody.

Wontumi is under investigation for alleged involvement in multiple criminal offences, including fraud, causing financial loss to the state, and money laundering.

Despite being granted bail set at GHS50 million, his legal team has yet to meet the conditions required for his release.
