The legal representative for the embattled Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, Lawyer Appiah Kubi, has spoken out amid confusion and speculation about his client's whereabouts.

This update comes after reports emerged that EOCO had restricted access to Wontumi, even barring leading NPP members from seeing him.

In a calm but firm statement as sighted by MyNewsGh, Lawyer Appiah Kubi addressed the rumors head-on. "The chairman wants to be a lawyer and he appears to be a lawyer," he said, hinting at Wontumi's awareness and engagement in legal processes.

He continued, "We've heard from Bawumia, we've heard from Alexander Finyomaki.
