The Volta Diaspora Caucus and the Zongo Chiefs of Gomoa East have paid separate courtesy calls on Ms Margaret Naana Ackom, the Executive of Gomoa East District to congratulate her on her assumption of office and to discuss the overall development of the District.The two delegations discussed key developmental issues including youth empowerment, education, health care, employment opportunities both in the public and private sectors, road infrastructure, safety and the general well-being of the District and its residents.Addressing the delegations the District Chief Executive said the comprehensive growth and evolution of a District relied on the efficiency of the local governance framework, which necessitates the proactive involvement all stakeholders.She stated it was for this reason her office was accessible to all individuals in the District who were focused on development and who aspire to uplift the Gomoa District and its residents.She emphasised that the District had become a home for many citizens from various regions of Ghana and beyond.The DCE assured the delegations of her determination to do all she could marshal to transform the District.The Zongo Chiefs were led by Nana Abdulai Giwa Issakah I, who serves as the Gomoa Nyanyano Zongo Chief while the Volta Diaspora Caucus was led by the Constituency Coordinator, Mr Adukpo Kwaku Makafui Ernest.Both delegations expressed their joy and confidence in the DCE and extolled her political experience and understanding of the Local Governance system having worked in a District Assembly over the years.They also celebrated her as the first female Chief Executive of the District and wished her the best in her endeavour and commended the President John Mahama and Vice President Prof.
