Former National Signals Bureau boss, Kwabena Adu-Boahene, remains in custody despite completing a court-ordered seven working day remand.
Adu-Boahen, who is facing charges of stealing, money laundering, and causing financial loss to the state, was initially remanded on May 2 following allegations of witness tampering.
However, during court proceedings on Tuesday, May 13, his lawyer, Samuel Atta Akyea, revealed that Adu-Boahene had been rearrested on a separate matter after the remand period ended.
While details of the new arrest were not disclosed, the Attorney General had previously indicated that Adu-Boahene was also under investigation for a case involving internet connectivity issues at Ghana Water Limited.
