President John Dramani Mahama has revealed plans to transform selected schools across Ghana into specialised sports development centres aimed at nurturing young talent.

The President made the announcement during a meeting with the Ghana Football Association and the Black Queens, following the team's bronze medal triumph at the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

It was Ghana's first WAFCON medal since 2016.

Addressing the delegation at Jubilee House, President Mahama underscored the significance of building a sustainable structure to support talent development through education.
