One person has tragically lost her life, and two others have sustained serious injuries following violent protests by youth in Zabzugu, located in the Northern Region.
The unrest stemmed from opposition to the President's nomination of Municipal and District Chief Executives.
The protesting youth expressed strong disapproval of the nomination of Daniel Lakob Tanei.
They resorted to blocking roads and issuing threats to destroy party properties and other government institutions.
