The Presiding Archbishop and General Overseer of Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has made a heartfelt appeal for the creation of a Ghana where citizens no longer feel the need to travel abroad in search of better opportunities but only do so for leisure and holidays. Speaking at the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving held in Accra on July 1st, the Archbishop emphasized the importance of fostering a country where the youth can pursue their education, careers, and personal development within Ghana.
He highlighted the need to restore national pride and build a nation where opportunities are accessible to all, enabling success at home rather than abroad.Addressing the broader context of Ghana's development, he expressed concern about how the country, once ahead of nations like Singapore, China, and Malaysia, has now fallen behind.
His remarks served as a sober reflection and a strong call to national renewal built on unity, faith, and visionary leadership.
He also encouraged the current government, led by President John Dramani Mahama, to remain committed to building a better, more prosperous Ghana for its citizens.
