The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority (GSA), Professor , has vehemently dismissed allegations accusing him of engaging in lavish travel at the state's expense and conducting unauthorised recruitments within the institution.
In a statement posted on Facebook on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, Prof Gyampo described the claims circulating on airwaves and social media as baseless, providing a detailed rebuttal.
Setting the record straight on rumoured recruitments, Professor Gyampo stated that he has not been involved in any hiring activities, contrary to speculation that he recruited "28 women and two men." He clarified that recruitment at the Ghana Shippers Authority has, for several years, been handled professionally by a private outsourcing company.
He emphasised that the rigorous selection process implemented by this agency eliminates any loopholes for manipulation or favouritism.
