Frank Asiedu Bekoe has urged Ghanaians to take President John Dramani Mahama's words with caution, asserting that he remains the same from his first term in office.
To the lawmaker, Mahama's Address, delivered on Thursday February 27, 2028, failed to inspire confidence and offered little substance to address Ghana's pressing challenges. "The president's speech was nothing more than complaints and blame-shifting," Bekoe stated in an interview on Rainbow Radio monitored by GhanaWeb. "Ghanaians had high expectations, but instead of solutions, we got lamentations.
Mahama has returned with the same inefficiency and indecisiveness that characterized his previous tenure." He also argued that Mahama's economic record remains unimpressive, highlighting that even before global crises such as COVID-19, the country's financial management under his leadership was weak, with foreign reserves standing at only $8.2 billion in 2017. "In contrast," he continued, "despite facing global economic shocks, the NPP government handled the economy far better.
