An Economist Dr Theo Acheampong has said that the young appointees must be given room to work.
This, he said, can be done through the removal of political obstacles that hinder effective decision-making.
In a Facebook reaction to the list of ministers appointed by President Mahama so far, he said "My Top 5 Ministerial Vettings So Far in No Particular Order: Dr Cassiel Ato Forson (MP) - Finance, Eric Opoku (MP) - Food and Agriculture, Emelia Arthur (MP) - Fisheries and Aquaculture, John Abdulai Jinapor (MP) - Energy and Green Transition, Dr Frank Amoakohene - Ashanti Region "NB: The list is compiled based on the strength and depth of the answers provided by the nominees in demonstrating understanding of their sector/region, and providing possible solutions that align with Ghana's needs, the party's vision and manifesto.
I would think this is by far the youngest ministerial appointment in the Fourth Republic based on the median age [I will confirm this later]. "I pray these younger crops of ministers and other appointees to deliver for the collective good of the country. They must be given room to work by removing political obstacles that hinder effective decision-making.
