The Elections Committee of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) has cautioned members to disregard a fake voters' list circulating on social media ahead of the Association's National and Regional Elections scheduled for Monday, June 30, 2025.
In a statement issued on Sunday, June 29, the Committee expressed concern over what it described as a calculated attempt to mislead members and undermine the electoral process. "The Committee urges all members to ignore this mischievous fabrication and rely solely on the official voters' register, which has been duly signed by both the GJA General Secretary and Treasurer," the statement read.
Members who are unsure of their eligibility are encouraged to visit the official GJA website or contact the Elections Committee directly for verification.
The Committee also announced that the Ghana Police Service will be present at all regional voting centres to ensure order and deal with any disruptions. "In a related development, the Committee has served notice that the Ghana Police Service will be on standby across all regional voting centres.
