The Appointments Committee of Parliament has commenced public hearings to vet nominees for ministerial and regional ministerial positions, following their nomination by President John Dramani Mahama.

This process, carried out in line with Article 78(1) of the 1992 Constitution, plays a crucial role in evaluating and approving key government appointments.

The vetting sessions have drawn considerable public interest, with numerous individuals visiting Parliament to observe the proceedings.

In response, Parliament has implemented measures to ensure the safety and security of Members of Parliament, staff, and the general public.
