Kwaku Ansah-Asare, the former director of the Ghana School of Law, has condemned the establishment of the Operation Recover All Loots (ORAL) committee by the new government.

He argued that there are several existing anti-corruption and crime institutions in the country that the president could direct to carry out such activities, rather than establishing a new committee for the task.

The legal expert criticised the government for setting up ORAL to further its political agenda, stating that the operation would likely not yield any meaningful results. "They may mean well, but from my perspective, ORAL is just about settling political goals.

We don't need that sort of thing," he said during an interview on Joy FM's Super Morning Show on Tuesday, January 14.
