3 Spas in Kumasi closed down over licence

Oct - 03 - 2026 , 09:57 2 minutes read Three body massage spas operated by Chinese nationals in the Ashanti Region have been shut down by the Traditional Medicine Practice Council (TMPC) for operating without the required licence and documentation.
So far this year, the Council has also closed about eight herbal shops and six spas in Accra for operating without the required licences.
Under the Act, any facility operating without a valid license violates the Traditional Medicine Practice Council Act 2000 (Act 575).
