Ghanaians have showered praises on Ibrahim Mahama for changing the life of 10-year old Lisa by paying off all her medical bills after she was diagnosed with stage 4 leukaemia, a life-threatening cancer of the blood and bone marrow.
Lisa, who attended Lerato Preparatory and JHS in Lartebiokorshie, was well-known for her passion for reading and her aspirations to work as a paediatrician.
On October 31, 2024, however, her life slowed as a mere cold and headache turned into something unthinkable. "Lisa went for career day at school, and then my mother was called by the school authority that Lisa was complaining of body pains.
On 1st November 1, 2024, she was taken to the hospital for treatment for common cold and malaria, but upon close examination by the physicians, we were told they were going to admit her." A family member narrated. "Later, I was called for counselling at the hospital.
