The Ashanti Regional Police Command has announced the temporary closure of selected roads in and around the Manhyia Palace on Thursday, August 21, 2025, for the one-week funeral celebration of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III.
In a press release on Tuesday, the police stated that the road closures aim to ensure safety, smooth traffic management, and security during the event.
Signed by the Head of Public Affairs, DSP Godwin Ahianyo, the statement noted that affected roads include Manhyia Bonjour Road, Sumankwahene's Junction Road, Nick Petroleum Filling Station Road, St.
Anne's Anglican Church Road, and Manhyia Government Hospital Road, among others.
