Election Watch Ghana has expressed grave concern over allegations made by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) during their recent press conference, which they say pose a serious threat to Ghana's democracy and national security.
The NDC accused a Brigadier General of the Ghana Armed Forces, of spearheading an election-rigging operation for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Addressing the allegations, Election Watch Ghana issued a strongly worded statement condemning the NPP's alleged involvement in training thugs to disrupt the 2024 general elections.
The group called on the ruling party to dismantle any criminal networks or plans designed to intimidate or harm citizens during the electoral period. "We urge the NPP to take immediate action to dismantle any criminal organizations or plots aimed at terrorizing citizens before, during, and after the general election," the statement read.
