The Libyan Armed Forces have reportedly arrested a Ghanaian national identified as Said, also known by his nickname "Begi," who is wanted for international crimes, including human trafficking.

According to a report by libyaobserver.ly, dated July 1, 2025, a statement from Libya's elite 444 Combat Brigade indicated that Said "Begi" was apprehended during an operation on Sunday, June 29, 2025, in Tripoli.

The 444 Combat Brigade is a prominent and disciplined military force in Libya, known for its efforts in combating crime and maintaining security.

The report detailed that the suspect had allegedly converted a large property, originally used to house migrant workers, into a base for criminal activities.
