Rachel Appoh, the former Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, has stated that members of the National Democratic Congress in the constituency and Central Region will not be cowed into silence by the intimidating tactics of their opponents.
Addressing a gathering of constituency executives, polling station executives, and members of the party in the constituency, Rachel Appoh decried what she observes to be acts of intimidation from the New Patriotic Party and musician Kwame Asare Obeng, known widely as A-Plus.
The former Deputy Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection noted that the NDC has consistently refrained from responding to acts of violence as the party believes in the rule of law.
She, however, sounded a caution to the opponents and security agencies that the party and its members will be forced to take measures to protect themselves if steps are not taken to address the problem.
