About the Role

A Private Security Company is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Human Resource Manager to oversee all human resource functions. The candidate will play a key role in attracting, developing, and retaining a highly competent workforce while ensuring compliance with Ghanaian labour laws and industry regulations. The HR Manager will also foster a positive work culture that supports operational excellence and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Lead the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and induction of employees.
  • Manage employee records and ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements.
  • Oversee staff performance management, appraisals, and career development initiatives.
  • Coordinate employee training and professional development programs.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with Ghana Labor Act, company policies, and relevant security industry regulations.
  • Administer compensation, benefits, leave management, and payroll support.
  • Advise management on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development.
  • Prepare HR reports and provide data-driven recommendations to management.
  • Promote employee engagement, welfare, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Collaborate with department heads to meet staffing and operational requirements.

Requirements

Required Skills or Experience

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., CIHRM, SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Previous experience in the private security industry or another labour-intensive organization is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of Ghana Labour Act, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
