About the Role
A Private Security Company is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Human Resource Manager to oversee all human resource functions. The candidate will play a key role in attracting, developing, and retaining a highly competent workforce while ensuring compliance with Ghanaian labour laws and industry regulations. The HR Manager will also foster a positive work culture that supports operational excellence and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Lead the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and induction of employees.
- Manage employee records and ensure compliance with statutory and company requirements.
- Oversee staff performance management, appraisals, and career development initiatives.
- Coordinate employee training and professional development programs.
- Provide guidance on employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with Ghana Labor Act, company policies, and relevant security industry regulations.
- Administer compensation, benefits, leave management, and payroll support.
- Advise management on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development.
- Prepare HR reports and provide data-driven recommendations to management.
- Promote employee engagement, welfare, and a positive workplace culture.
- Collaborate with department heads to meet staffing and operational requirements.
Requirements
Required Skills or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., CIHRM, SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Previous experience in the private security industry or another labour-intensive organization is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of Ghana Labour Act, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
