We are a fast-growing Ghanaian company operating in the mobility, transportation, logistics, vehicle leasing and rentals, automobile sales, facility management, and general business services sectors. We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and strategic Head of Human Resources & Administration to lead our HR and administrative functions.
Role Summary
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership in Human Resource Management and Office Administration, ensuring compliance with labour laws while supporting organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resource Management
- Lead the employee lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding.
- Develop HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidential employee records.
- Oversee payroll, SSNIT, pensions and benefits.
- Ensure compliance with Ghana Labour Laws.
- Coordinate training and development.
- Manage employee relations and grievances.
- Prepare HR reports.
Administration & Office Management
- Oversee office administration and facilities.
- Manage correspondence, meetings and executive calendars.
- Manage vendors and service providers.
- Maintain document management systems.
- Ensure office assets and equipment are maintained.
Compliance & Corporate Governance
- Maintain personnel files and employment contracts.
- Coordinate labour inspections and regulatory audits.
- Review and update HR policies and employee handbook.
Leadership & Organizational Development
- Advise Management on HR matters.
- Lead change management and organizational development.
- Promote a high-performance culture.
- Lead and mentor the HR team.
Requirements
Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related discipline.
Professional Qualification
- Professional certification will be an added advantage, including CIHRM, SHRM, CIPD, HRCI or equivalent. Candidates pursuing a recognized HR certification are encouraged to apply.
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years relevant HR & Administration experience.
- At least 3 years in a senior HR leadership role.
- Experience in recruitment, performance management, payroll, employee relations, labour law compliance and office administration.
- Experience in logistics, transportation, leasing, engineering or related sectors is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Ghana Labour Laws.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
- High integrity and confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS.
