- Location: Accra, Ghana
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and results-oriented Finance Manager to lead our finance function, strengthen financial controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide strategic financial leadership to support our continued growth.
- Lead and manage the Finance and Accounts Department.
- Develop and implement sound financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and cash flow management.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
- Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to Management.
- Monitor business performance and recommend cost optimization initiatives.
- Oversee the full accounting cycle in compliance with IFRS.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger accounts.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end financial close.
- Prepare accurate Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements, and management reports.
- Maintain robust accounting systems and accurate financial records.
- Ensure timely preparation and filing of Corporate Income Tax, VAT/NHIL/GETFund Levy, WHT, PAYE, SSNIT and Pension Contributions.
- Lead engagements with GRA, SSNIT, and other regulators.
- Coordinate and manage tax audits, assessments, investigations, and compliance reviews.
- Respond promptly to tax queries and implement audit recommendations.
- Stay abreast of tax law changes and ensure compliance.
- Maintain efficient financial documentation and filing systems (physical and electronic).
- Maintain invoices, payment vouchers, contracts, tax records, payroll records, bank documents, and supporting schedules.
- Maintain documentation for statutory audits, tax audits, banking facilities, and regulatory inspections.
- Ensure compliance with document retention standards.
- Manage banking relationships and financing facilities.
- Monitor loan obligations and debt servicing.
- Prepare cash flow projections and funding requirements.
- Oversee treasury operations, payment approvals, and banking transactions.
- Develop and strengthen internal controls.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Safeguard company assets and ensure policy compliance.
- Supervise and mentor the Finance team.
- Improve financial systems and reporting processes.
- Support Management with financial analysis and strategic decision-making.
Requirements
Required Skills or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- Professional certification will be an added advantage, including ICAG, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ICAEW or an equivalent professional qualification. Candidates currently pursuing a recognized professional accounting qualification are encouraged to apply.
- Minimum of 5–8 years relevant finance and accounting experience.
- At least 3 years in a senior finance or accounting role.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, cash flow management, statutory reporting, audit coordination, and GRA tax audits.
- Experience in automobile, transportation, logistics, leasing, engineering, or related sectors is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Tally, ERP systems, or similar accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Ghanaian tax laws.
- Excellent financial analysis and reporting skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Leadership, communication, organizational, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
