
Upgraded CSIR radar helps Kruger Park combat rhino poaching

As the world-renowned Kruger National Park sees a new spike in rhino poaching, it has again called on the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research’s (CSIR) radar technology to assist in detecting and tracking down poachers.
The CSIR’s Radar and Electronic Warfare Systems Research Group Leader, Nape Lentsoane, says that last year the Kruger National Park (KNP) approached them as they were experiencing poaching again in certain areas and they needed urgent help.
