Teachers’ Day: Ekiti govt recruits 5,530 teachers, gives ₦70.5 million to outstanding ones

“I want to thank the State Executives of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS), Association of Public School Head Teachers of Nigeria (APSHON), the leadership of the Coalition of Private School Owners and all our committed teachers for being reputable partners in progress,” he stated.“We are committed to regular payment of salary, disbursement of revolving car and housing Loans for eligible secondary school teachers,s and I assure you that we will continue to prioritise the welfare packages for all our teachers in the state public schools,” the governor said.

He said the beneficiaries of the distributed funds were recognised for outstanding performance and commitment to their responsibilities, and came from public primary and secondary schools, private schools, and other administrative cadres in the education sector.
