‘Fund our trip from Sunyani to Sogakope else we will boycott the game against Dreams FC’ – Bofoakwa Tano tells FA Committee

Bofoakwa Tano CEO, Alex Ababio, has raised concerns about the team’s participation in the upcoming FA Cup semifinal against Dreams FC.

He highlighted the uncertainty surrounding their involvement if the organizing committee doesn’t cover their travel and accommodation expenses for the match scheduled on May 12th at the Theatre of Dreams.

In an interview with Akoma FM, Mr.

Ababio emphasized the need for the FA Cup committee to finance their journey from Sunyani to Sogakope for the game.

He insisted that without financial support, it would be impossible for them to secure funding and travel to Sogakope.

“The FA Cup committee must fund our cost while travelling if they truly want us to honour our FA Cup match against Dreams FC in Sogakope.

If not, there is no way we will be able to secure funding and make the trip from Sunyani to Sogakope.”

Expressing dissatisfaction with the choice of venue, Sogakope, Ababio suggested bias against Bofoakwa Tano, citing past incidents during matches held there, including their previous encounter with Dreams FC.

While acknowledging some support from the committee, Ababio deemed it insufficient, stating that their participation hinges on the committee’s willingness to cover their expenses.
