MIIF targets GH¢9billion in mineral royalties by end of 2026
3, GNA – The Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF) is targeting about nine billion Ghana cedis in mineral royalty receipts by the end of 2026.
The Chief Justice also highlighted the need for specialised courts to deal with illegal mining (galamsey) and related cases, saying the Judiciary could contribute to national efforts to address the menace.
The MIIF was established under the Minerals Income Investment Fund Act, 2018 (Act 978), as amended, to manage and maximise the value of mineral royalty and dividend income accruing to Ghana.
