Atta Akyea questions why EOCO is detaining Baffour Awuah overnight

Lawyer for Manhyia South Member of Parliament Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah, Samuel Atta Akyea, has questioned the decision by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) to keep his client in custody overnight as investigators continue their interrogation.

Mr Atta Akyea said EOCO had indicated that the questioning would continue on Friday, October 2, but argued that Baffour Awuah should instead be allowed to go home and return to the agency the following morning.

Mr Atta Akyea said he intended to make the necessary calls to seek his client’s release so that he could return to EOCO the following morning if required.
