Atta Akyea: Court of Appeal must review judge’s interpretation of mining assignment in Wontumi Case

Samuel Atta Akyea, lead counsel for the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, has expressed confidence that the Court of Appeal will closely examine what he described as the trial judge's interpretation of the law relating to mining assignments in his client's illegal mining conviction."The treatment of assignment in law by the judge is one of the areas that we believe the Court of Appeal will take a look at," he stated.
