Afadzato South holds Assembly meeting, DCE charges member for greater oversight
03, GNA – The Afadzato South District Assembly has held its Second Ordinary Meeting of the Fourth Assembly, with a renewed call for stronger oversight to aid rapid development.
It was on the theme: “Resetting Afadzato: The Role of the Assembly Member,” and brought together Assembly Members, Heads of Department and other stakeholders, to deliberate on the development agenda of the district, review ongoing projects and chart a new path for accelerated socio-economic growth.
He also highlighted the huge tourism potential of Afadzato South, calling on management of the Assembly to take deliberate steps to develop tourist sites in the district to create jobs for the youth and increase the Internally Generated Fund (IGF) of the Assembly.
