Ghanaian artist, Enil Art has said his sketches of bus conductors (trotro mates) refreshes him up for new challenges.
The artist said at times when he is not motivated to work, he embarks on sketching 'trotro mates' which "rejuvenates" him and prepares him to return to work refreshened to take up new tasks.
Enil Art disclosed this in an interview on The Day Show on Sunday, September 29. "Eventhough you get creative block sometimes and you don't want to do anything art, I find entering in 'trotro' rejuvenating, it's like a warm up so I enter the troski, do these sketches and everyone is happy and it's like I am hyped up and I get back to my studio and do whatever I have to do," he told Berla Mundi. He said he maintains his focus and endurance while making the sketches in the face of the bumpy roads and the hustle and bustle of boarding commercial vehicles. "You should see me struggling.
