British actor and singer, Idris Elba will headline the second edition of the Africa Cinema Summit, which will be held from October 7 to 10, 2024, at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, Accra.
The Africa Cinema Summit is a three-day event that brings stakeholders from the cinema industry value chain worldwide to Africa.
The theme will be "The Relevance of Cinema in African Communities." The summit is unique as it is the first of its class to be held in Africa and it focuses on the peculiarities in the African cinema space as well as the challenges and the numerous opportunities the industry offers.
The first edition of the summit held last year drew various filmmakers from 20 African countries to Ghana for varied conversations on growing cinema on the continent.
