Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has expressed optimism about the National Democratic Congress's (NDC) position on the 2024 electoral ballot, urging party members to embrace the number eight as a symbol of good fortune.
The NDC secured the eighth position during the ballot draw held on September 20, 2023, for the upcoming general elections.
In a reaction shared via Facebook, Speaker Bagbin highlighted the significance of the number eight, calling it an "excellent" position for the party.
He urged party supporters and leadership to view the number with positivity and work towards a victorious outcome in the 2024 elections.
Meanwhile, the flagbearer of the party, John Dramani Mahama, said he was excited about the position and urged the party to make the number one of hope. "I am excited that we picked No.
8 on the ballot for the upcoming presidential elections.
Let's make this a number of hope and change on December 7," his post noted.
