President of Ghana's football federation, Kurt Okraku has penned a heartfelt message to the supporters of the Black Stars following the victory over Mali.  The Black Stars edged their West African rivals 1-0, courtesy an Alexander Djiku strike, to inch close to another World Cup under the FA boss' administration.

Fans of the senior national team came out in numbers to rally behind the team despite the disappointing draw in Chad four days earlier.

In a heartfelt message posted on Facebook, Mr Okraku wrote: "Thank you Ghana!

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the good people of Ghana for the tremendous support shown to the Black Stars in our crucial encounter against Mali on Monday, 8th September 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium. "It was a hard-fought battle on the pitch, and the energy, passion, and unyielding spirit of the 12th man in the stands made all the difference.
