Member of Parliament for Berekum West, Dickson Kyere-Duah, has revealed that Ghanaian communities in the United States are eagerly awaiting the Black Stars' qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The next edition of the tournament will be jointly hosted by the US, Canada, and Mexico, with Africa allocated nine qualification slots in the expanded format.

Ghana remain on course for a place at the global showpiece, sitting top of Group I with 19 points from eight matches.

Speaking to Citi Sports after his return from the US, Kyere-Duah highlighted the sense of expectation among Ghanaians abroad. "I returned from the United States just yesterday and the atmosphere, the build-up, Ghanaian communities in the US, the appetite, the anticipation to see the Black Stars, to welcome their heroes in the United States is so high that we cannot take that for granted," he said.
