New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Youth Organiser Salam Mustapha has reacted angrily to the arrest of Bono Regional Chairman Kwame Baffoe, popularly known as Abronye.

Speaking outside the Accra Circuit Court, Mustapha warned: "Power has an end, the tables will turn, and we will all have our revenge." Abronye, who was remanded into police custody, is expected to reappear in court on Friday, September 12.

The Ghana Police Service confirmed his arrest on Monday, September 8, citing "offensive conduct conducive to the breach of public peace." Abronye was detained earlier that day and remains in custody.

The controversy has drawn commentary from policy analyst Franklin Cudjoe, who weighed in on Abronye's public claims against the Inspector-General of Police (IGP).
