Bibiani GoldStars coach Frimpong Manso has admitted his side's lack of midfield compactness was decisive in their 1-0 defeat to Asante Kotoko in the Super Cup at Dun's Park on Sunday.

The highly anticipated clash, which served as the curtain-raiser for the new Ghana football season, was settled by a second-half strike from Kotoko's new signing Musah Hamzata.

The youngster converted from a set piece just before the 70th minute, silencing the home crowd and handing Kotoko a narrow victory.
